STG Appoints Global Experts to Its Academic Council
New members to give fresh thrust to STG's academic arm New Delhi, India - (February 7, 2001) STG, a global IT company focused on providing advanced software education, corporate training, and e-business solutions, has restructured its Board of Academic Council and has appointed global experts on board. The new members on the Academic Council are Dr. Steve Zlotolow, an expert on distant learning and online education. He is currently the Director of the Centre for Distributed Education at San Jose State University (California). Prof. P Sen also joins the Academic Council. He is a professor from IIM, Kolkata. Mr. Sanjeev Prasad, Director Software Development who is actively involved in Business Development for STG in UK, India and US will also be joining STG's Academic Council. Announcing the appointment of the new members on its Academic Council, Mr. Yogesh Vaidya, Chairman, STG said, "Our education modules and course structures at STG will get a new impetus with the appointment of the new members. With their global expertise and rich experience in the education sector, STG is sure to benefit." Dr. Steve Zlotolow is on Board of Academic Council of leading institutions internationally. He has more than two decades of experience in education. Dr. Zlotolow started as a schoolteacher in the Oklahoma City Public School district he went on to teach at prestigious US universities such as University of Oklahoma, Central Michigan University, and at San Jose State University. Dr. Zlotolow has been a pioneer and expert in promoting distance education and online education programmes in the USA. Dr. Zlotolow also has considerable experience in developing content for online distance education courses. Prof. P. Sen is currently teaching Finance and Control Area at IIM Calcutta. Dr. Sen is actively involved as a Consultant to major public sector and private sector organisations for Information Technology related projects. He is also a member of the task force for Web based distance learning programmes for IIMC. Prof. Sen's professional experience includes working with NTPC, Exide industries Ltd and Tata Consultancy Services. Prof. Sen has been a visiting faculty member at various programs conducted at IIMC. He has also served as a Past Member for the Centre Committee at the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (London and Calcutta Branches), at the Sub Committee on Electronics and Software, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) (Eastern Region). Dr. Sen has also been a Member on the Selection Panel for the Young Information Technology Professional (YITP) contest for 1999 for Eastern India. This contest was co-sponsored by Computer Society of India and the Calcutta Management Association. Mr. Sanjeev Prasad with Mr. Yogesh Vaidya founded STG in 1993. He was responsible for setting up STG's courseware development operations. He is actively involved in Business Development for STG in UK, India and US. He has managed development of large ERP projects in India and abroad for clients in transport cement, gas and petrochemicals and entertainment industries. Prior to joining STG Mr. Prasad worked with leading IT organizations in Silicon Valley. These included Northern Telecom where he was the lead analyst for developing solutions for the complete product life-cycle design to marketing. He worked with Amdahl Corporation (US) where he was a software manager for developing workflow systems, change management and document management system and implementing ERP solutions. Mr. Prasad has a Masters in Industrial Engineering from University of Texas.
